Norris-made steel-soled gunmetal unhandled smoother plane with ebony infill. This plane is stamped with the Richard Melhuish & Sons, Fetter Lane, Holborn mark.
Norris No. 14 smoothing plane stamped “W. Short, Essex Rd., N” on the gunmetal lever-cap. W. Short was a London-based toolmaker and dealer trading in the early 1900’s.
