Cast Steel Bullnose Compass Plane
A rare cast steel bullnose compass infill plane, measuring around 3-7/8″ long and 1-1/8″ wide, with a cutting iron by Robert Sorby.
Used in the same way as normal rabbet planes, though can get into tighter areas due to the iron being closer to the front of the plane. Usually around 3″ to 4″ in length.

A very rare nickel plated iron bullnose rabbet plane by New York maker, Williams & Ham of Troy. The cutting iron is set at a lower than usual bed angle.

Bullnose “Patent Metal” steel rabbet plane with ebony wedge by Isaac Green of Pimlico, London. Green was a tool maker and dealer who was in business from 1857 to 1905.
David Lyon was one of the smaller London-based makers of traditional bullnose and shoulder planes who worked from 43 St. John Square in Clerkenwell.
