Slater Shoulder Plane With Ebony Rhino Horn Infill
A slightly different style of infill shoulder plane by Slater of Clerkenwell. The infill on this one is ebony and features a “rhino horn” design.
Similar in usage to rabbet planes, shoulder planes are used for trimming joints and end grain, however the irons are usually bedded at a lower angle than that of a rabbet plane. Typically around 8″ in length.
