Bullnose “Patent Metal” steel rabbet plane with ebony wedge by Isaac Green of Pimlico, London. Green was a tool maker and dealer who was in business from 1857 to 1905.
User-made coachmaker’s T-rabbet plane with rosewood infill and wedge. The 1-3/4″ wide Marples cutter is bedded at a rather high 60 degrees. A most unusual infill plane.
David Lyon was one of the smaller London-based makers of traditional bullnose and shoulder planes who worked from 43 St. John Square in Clerkenwell.
