Most collectors would be familiar with G. Miller’s shoulder planes, but not many would know of his equally charming little chariot planes.
A delightful little chariot plane which features fine dovetailing and other high-quality touches, such as the flourishes which appear on the beechwood wedge.
Steel-faced gunmetal chariot plane made by Henry Slater of Meredith St., Clerkenwell in London. Slater worked at the Meredith St. address from 1873 to 1877.
Steel soled, cast gunmetal bodied chariot plane by Buck of Tottenham Court Road, London. This plane has an ebony wedge and front bun and a rosewood bed.
